Our fourth grade grade curriculum includes studying space, life adaptations, electricity and magnetism, weather forecasting, and matter in Science, and Florida History for Social Studies. "Time for Kids" helps us direct our attention to current events.

The fourth graders take the Florida Writes exam in the spring. It requires them to write about a topic selected by the Department of Education. Students may be asked to write an expository passage or a narrative passage. Their finished product is graded on a scale of 1 to 6.

Our field trips for the year are Space Camp, St. Augustine, Florida Cracker Country Tour, and Orlando Art Museum.The Fourth Grade Curriculum focuses on reading, writing, math, and problem solving to prepare students for life skills.
