We will continue to focus on the Six Pillars of Character: Respect, Responsibility, Citizenship, Caring, Fairness, and Trustworthiness. We are including the additional words of Teamwork and Creativity. Students in kindergarten through third grade will be chosen each week for demonstrating a particular character trait. They will be honored at a Character Club Celebration each Friday. For our fourth and fifth grade students, they have the opportunity to be chosen for the "Character Hall of Fame"for consistently demonstrating all Six Pillars of Character. When a student is chosen for this honor, his/her name will be announced on the Bobcat News and he/she will be invited to a special lunch. His/her name will be displayed on the large board in the hall near the Media Center. If a student is chosen in fourth grade and again in fifth grade, a special gold star will denote the two year honor. Thank you for your support of Palm Lake's Character Education!
